What are Live Binders?
Due to the complexity of needs of the students in the district wide programs, I often find myself seeking out the support of others with greater expertise. Emma, our Assistive Technology Specialist told me about a great on-line resource called "Live Binders". Live Binders are like having 3 ring binders on the web to collect and organize resources that can be shared with anyone who has access to the internet. This is a great resource for training where everyone would have all the resources in one place, and the “binder” could be referred to it as often as needed.
I have a stagnant 3 ring binder, on the shelf in the closet in my office collecting dust I am sad to say, chock full of information from the past 2 years of training about assistive technology. I have given the dust ridden binder to Emma who is transferring it along with additional information to a live binder which we will share with you once it is uploaded.
Moving forward, I am hoping to add a binder for upcoming professional development for staff which will in include Plymouth Public Schools monthly professional development, workshops/classes offered nearby and a place for staff to share their comments and ask questions
